- Hier ticken alle Uhren gleich, IEEE 1588 - die Synchronisation über Ethernet, Steven Jennings, IEE - Automatisierung + Datentechnik -
July 2002, number 7. Description: This paper (in German) discusses the role of IEEE
1588 in automation systems. It includes an extensive discussion of some early
prototypes of the protocol produced by Agilent Technologies (then a part of
Hewlett-Packard) and contains photographs of a public demonstration of the
technology at the ISA convention in 1998. The paper discusses the basic features
and operation of IEEE 1588. Steven Jennings is with Bosch-Rexroth and is the
Secretary of the IEEE 1588 committee.
